Everything we make is built to order, so please read this before you buy. Nothing here affects your legal rights.

Standard sizes: 14 days to change your mind

If you’ve bought one of our standard listed sizes, you can cancel at any point from placing your order until 14 days after it’s delivered. Just tell us by email or phone. You don’t need to give a reason.

You then have a further 14 days to send it back. Return postage is yours to arrange and pay for. These are heavy pieces, so do check what that costs before committing. We’re happy to suggest a courier if it helps.

We’ll refund what you paid for the item plus the standard delivery charge within 14 days of getting it back. If it has been used or damaged beyond what you’d need to check it over, we may take something off the refund to cover that.

Custom sizes and colours

Anything made to your own measurements, or painted in a RAL colour outside our three standard options, is made specifically for you and can’t be returned unless it’s faulty. That’s normal for bespoke goods, and it’s why we’d rather talk sizes through properly on the phone first.

If something arrives damaged or faulty

Please tell us as soon as you can, ideally within 48 hours of delivery, and send a photograph to sales@firewoodstorage.co.uk. We’ll repair, replace or refund it. You won’t be out of pocket for our mistake or a courier’s.

By law you have 30 days from delivery to reject a faulty item for a full refund, and longer to ask for a repair or replacement. Asking you to tell us quickly doesn’t change that.

Corten weathering isn’t a fault

Corten steel arrives raw and grey and takes around four months to develop its rust patina. That’s how the material works, not a defect, and it isn’t grounds for a return. While it weathers, rusty water can run off and stain paving or decking underneath, so stand it somewhere that won’t matter for the first few months. There’s a full explanation here if you’re unsure.

Guarantee

Everything carries a three year guarantee against structural failure. Paint finishes are excluded, as is normal wear and the weathering of Corten. The guarantee is on top of your legal rights, not instead of them.

You don’t have to use this, but if it helps, copy it into an email to sales@firewoodstorage.co.uk and fill in the gaps:
